Veg Lollipops are crispy fried balls made with mix vegetable filling. Veg lollipops are perfect vegetarian party appetizers as well as perfect snack item with evening tea. These lollipops are perfect recipe for kids who don’t like to eat vegetables because lots of vegetables are used which is very healthy for kids. And because of its shape kids are attracted towards it. The recipe is very easy to make and delicious in taste. These lollipops can be served with any type of sauce or chutney like tomato ketchup, sweet chilli sauce, mint chutney or mayonnaise.

Ingredients –

  1. Mashed & Boiled Potatoes – 4 Cups
  2. Green Peas – ½ Cup
  3. Finely Chopped Cabbage – ¾ Cup
  4. Finely Chopped Onion – ¾ Cup
  5. Finely Chopped Carrot – ¾ Cup
  6. Salt to Taste
  7. Red Chilli Powder – 1 Tbsp.
  8. Garam Masala Powder – 1 ½ Tbsp.
  9. Garlic Paste – 2 Tbsp.
  10. Bread Crumbs – 1 Cup + For Coating
  11. All Purpose Flour – For Coating
  12. Cornflour – For Coating
  13. Water

Instructions –

  • Take mashed & boiled potatoes in a mixing bowl and add in green peas, finely chopped cabbage, onion and carrot and garlic paste.
  • Now add in salt, red chilli powder and garam masala powder.

  • Add in 1 cup bread crumbs and mix all ingredients properly and prepare a mixture. (If mixture is sticky then you can add more breadcrumbs)

  • Now make small size balls from the mixture.
  • Mix all – purpose flour, cornflour, salt and water and prepare a fine paste.
  • Now take balls one by one and dip them in cornflour paste and coat them with breadcrumbs.

  • Deep fry all balls until they are crisp.

  • Insert toothpick in all fried balls so that they look like lollipops.
  • Serve Lollipops with tomato ketchup.

Veg Mayonnaise Sandwich is one of the healthy options among all veg sandwich recipe. It is very easy recipe that can be prepared in very few minutes with very few ingredients. It can be a perfect healthy breakfast recipe. These sandwiches can also be served with evening tea or can be packed in kid’s lunch box. These sandwiches are prepared without toasting bread but if you want you can toast the bread (For that first toast the bread and then spread the mixture). I have used basic eggless mayonnaise but if you want you can use any type of flavored mayonnaise also.

Serving – 8 Sandwich

Ingredients –

  1. Finely Chopped Cabbage – 1 Cup
  2. Grated Carrot – 1 Cup
  3. Sweet Corn Kernels – ½ Cup
  4. Veg Mayonnaise – 1 Cup
  5. Lemon Juice – 1 Tsp.
  6. Salt to Taste
  7. Black Pepper Powder – 1 Tsp.
  8. Bread Slices – 16 Slices

Instructions –

  • Take veg mayonnaise in a big bowl and add all ingredients (except bread slices) in it and mix well and prepare a mayonnaise mixture.

  • Cut edges of the bread and take two bread slices at a time.
  • Spread mayonnaise mixture on one slice and cover it with another slice.
  • Cut sandwich diagonally into two parts.

Notes –

  1. Vegetables like onion, green, yellow or red bell pepper can also be added. One can add vegetable as per choice.
  2. I have used white bread but brown or multi grain bread can also be used.

The recipe of rolls is very simple and tasty. These rolls can be served with evening tea or it can be a perfect party snack item. These rolls can be prepared with homemade spring roll sheets or with ready-made sheets. You can add vegetables as per your choice. Spring rolls can be served with tomato ketchup, red chilli garlic chutney or schezwan sauce.

Serving – 10-12 Spring Rolls

Ingredients –

  1. Shredded Cabbage – ½ Cup
  2. Thinly Sliced Onions – ½ Cup
  3. Capsicum Juliennes – ½ Cup
  4. Boiled Noodles – 2 Cups
  5. Chopped Garlic – 1 Tbsp.
  6. Green Chilli Sauce – 3 Tsp.
  7. Soya Sauce – 1 Tsp.
  8. Tomato Ketchup – 4 Tsp.
  9. Vinegar – 1 Tsp.
  10. Salt to Taste
  11. Oil – 4 Tbsp.+ for Shallow Frying
  12. Cornflour Paste
  13. Spring Roll Sheets

Instructions –

  • Heat oil in a pan and add in chopped garlic and sauté it for 2 minutes.
  • Now add in onions, capsicum and cabbage.
  • Add in salt and cook all the vegetables until they become soft.

  • Add in green chilli sauce, soya sauce, vinegar and tomato ketchup and mix all vegetables with the sauces properly.
  • Now add in boiled noodles and toss them with cooked vegetables.
  • Switch off the flame and allow noodles to cool down.

  • Take one spring roll sheet at a time and place one tbsp. of prepared noodles on one side.
  • Roll it and close the edges and roll it again and seal it by applying cornflour paste.

  • Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry spring rolls from both sides till they are crisp and golden.

Chilli Garlic Noodles | Recipe No. 101

My Today’s recipe is Chilli Garlic Noodles.

Chilli Garlic Noodles is a famous Chinese recipe which is spiced up with the classic combination of garlic and green chillies. The recipe is very simple and it tastes very delicious. Burnt garlic and green chillies gives nice flavor and aroma to the recipe. If you want you can add more vegetables to it and if you want to skip vegetables you can skip. It will still taste delicious. You can serve chilli garlic noodles on its own or as a side dish with other Chinese recipe. It is a perfect starter recipe for your next parties.

Serving – Will serve 5 People

Ingredients

  1. Noodle – 250 Gms.
  2. Water – as required for boiling
  3. Oil – 1 tsp.
  4. Salt – pinch
  5. Oil – 5 tbsp.
  6. Finely Chopped Green Chilli – 1 Tbsp.
  7. Thinly Sliced Onions – 1 cup
  8. Finely chopped Garlic – 1 tbsp.
  9. Green Chilli Sauce – 4 tbsp.
  10. Vinegar – 2 tsp.
  11. Salt – as per taste
  12. Black Pepper – 3 Tsp.
  13. Finely Chopped Green Chillies – for garnishing

Method –

  • Boil water in a pan and add oil and salt in it. As soon as water starts boiling add noodles in it. [oil and salt is added because they saves noodles from sticking to each other]
  • As soon as noodles are cooked then with the help of strainer drain out the water.

  • Heat up oil in a pan and add garlic to it.
  • Cook garlic until it changes its color to golden brown.
  • After that add green chillies to it and cook.
  • Now add onion and cook it till it turns translucent.
  • Now add green chilli sauce and vinegar and stir well.
  • Add salt and black pepper and stir well.

  • When sauce is cooked, add noodles in it and mix it well with sauce.
  • Switch off the flame and garnish it with finely chopped green chillies.
