Spring rolls are very popular Indo-Chinese snack item which are crisp from outside with vegetable and noodles filling inside. In fact spring rolls are very popular street food in India. The recipe of rolls is very simple and tasty. These rolls can be served with evening tea or it can be a perfect party snack item. These rolls can be prepared with homemade spring roll sheets or with ready-made sheets. You can add vegetables as per your choice. Spring rolls can be served with tomato ketchup, red chilli garlic chutney or schezwan sauce.

Serving – 10-12 Spring Rolls

Ingredients –

  1. Shredded Cabbage – ½ Cup
  2. Thinly Sliced Onions – ½ Cup
  3. Capsicum Juliennes – ½ Cup
  4. Boiled Noodles – 2 Cups
  5. Chopped Garlic – 1 Tbsp.
  6. Green Chilli Sauce – 3 Tsp.
  7. Soya Sauce – 1 Tsp.
  8. Tomato Ketchup – 4 Tsp.
  9. Vinegar – 1 Tsp.
  10. Salt to Taste
  11. Oil – 4 Tbsp.+ for Shallow Frying
  12. Cornflour Paste
  13. Spring Roll Sheets

Instructions –

  • Heat oil in a pan and add in chopped garlic and sauté it for 2 minutes.
  • Now add in onions, capsicum and cabbage.
  • Add in salt and cook all the vegetables until they become soft.


  • Add in green chilli sauce, soya sauce, vinegar and tomato ketchup and mix all vegetables with the sauces properly.
  • Now add in boiled noodles and toss them with cooked vegetables.
  • Switch off the flame and allow noodles to cool down.


  • Take one spring roll sheet at a time and place one tbsp. of prepared noodles on one side.
  • Roll it and close the edges and roll it again and seal it by applying cornflour paste.


  • Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry spring rolls from both sides till they are crisp and golden.


  • Serve Spring Rolls with Tomato Ketchup.

Chilli Garlic Potatoes | Chilli Potatoes – Recipe No. 54

Chilli Garlic Potatoes is an Indo-Chinese Cuisine. It can be served as a Starter. To make this, deep fried potato wedges are tossed in sweet chilli sauce. It is very easy and quick recipe. It’s my favorite starter. I always search for it whenever we go to any restaurant.

Ingredients – 

  1. Potato Wedges – 3 Cup
  2. Finely Chopped Spring Onion, Whites – ½ Cup
  3. Crushed Garlic – 1 Tbsp.
  4. Cornflour – 3 Tbsp.
  5. Black Pepper Powder – 1 Tsp. + ½ Tbsp.
  6. Salt to Taste
  7. Oil – 3 Tbsp. + for Frying
  8. Tomato Sauce – 4 Tbsp.
  9. Red Chilli Sauce – 2 Tsp.
  10. Vinegar – 1 Tsp.
  11. Soya Sauce – 2 Tsp.
  12. Chopped Spring Onions, Green – for Garnishing


Method – 

  1. Take potato wedges in a mixing bowl and add in cornflour.
  2. Add in salt and 1 tsp. of black pepper powder.
  3. Add around 2 – 3 Tbsp. of water and mix all ingredients.
  4. Heat oil in a wok and deep fry potato wedges.
  5. Now for sauce, heat 3 tbsp. of oil in a pan and add crushed garlic and sauté it for 1 min.
  6. Add finely chopped spring onion whites and sauté it for 2-3 mins. (Instead of spring onion you can use normal onions also)
  7. Add in tomato sauce, red chilli sauce, vinegar and soya sauce.
  8. Add in salt and ½ Tbsp. of black pepper powder. (Please take care of salt as we have added it earlier also in fried potatoes)
  9. Mix all ingredients of sauce and cook them for 5 mins.
  10. Add in fried potatoes and coat them properly with sauce.
  11. Garnish Chilli Garlic Potatoes with spring onions green.
