Spring rolls are very popular Indo-Chinese snack item which are crisp from outside with vegetable and noodles filling inside. In fact spring rolls are very popular street food in India. The recipe of rolls is very simple and tasty. These rolls can be served with evening tea or it can be a perfect party snack item. These rolls can be prepared with homemade spring roll sheets or with ready-made sheets. You can add vegetables as per your choice. Spring rolls can be served with tomato ketchup, red chilli garlic chutney or schezwan sauce.

Serving – 10-12 Spring Rolls

Ingredients –

  1. Shredded Cabbage – ½ Cup
  2. Thinly Sliced Onions – ½ Cup
  3. Capsicum Juliennes – ½ Cup
  4. Boiled Noodles – 2 Cups
  5. Chopped Garlic – 1 Tbsp.
  6. Green Chilli Sauce – 3 Tsp.
  7. Soya Sauce – 1 Tsp.
  8. Tomato Ketchup – 4 Tsp.
  9. Vinegar – 1 Tsp.
  10. Salt to Taste
  11. Oil – 4 Tbsp.+ for Shallow Frying
  12. Cornflour Paste
  13. Spring Roll Sheets

Instructions –

  • Heat oil in a pan and add in chopped garlic and sauté it for 2 minutes.
  • Now add in onions, capsicum and cabbage.
  • Add in salt and cook all the vegetables until they become soft.


  • Add in green chilli sauce, soya sauce, vinegar and tomato ketchup and mix all vegetables with the sauces properly.
  • Now add in boiled noodles and toss them with cooked vegetables.
  • Switch off the flame and allow noodles to cool down.


  • Take one spring roll sheet at a time and place one tbsp. of prepared noodles on one side.
  • Roll it and close the edges and roll it again and seal it by applying cornflour paste.


  • Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry spring rolls from both sides till they are crisp and golden.


  • Serve Spring Rolls with Tomato Ketchup.

Flavoured Pani Puri | Hing Water | Garlic Water | Mint Water | Recipe No. 81

Pani Puri or Golgappe or Pani Pakodi or Puchka or Pani Patashe different names for one super delicious recipe. By whatever name you call the one thing which remains same is its flavors. This tangy, sweet and spicy recipe is the only dish which you will find in every part of India. Some serve only one flavor, some serve five flavors and some serve seven flavors. Main flavors are Mint Water, Garlic Water, Asafoetida Water, Tamarind and Jaggery Water, Cumin Water.

The main requirements for Pani Puri are crunchy puris made from all-purpose flour and semolina, potato filing or ragda filing and flavoured water. The recipe of flavoured waters which I am sharing today is Hing Water, Garlic Water and Mint Water. The recipe is quick and easy which you can prepare in minutes.

Ingredients –

For Hing (Asafoetida) Water

  1. Asafoetida – ½ Tsp.
  2. Lemon Juice – 1 Tbsp.
  3. Black Salt – ½ Tsp.
  4. Jeera Powder – 1 Tsp.
  5. Salt to Taste
  6. Water – 2 Cups


For Lehsun (Garlic) Water

  1. Garlic Cloves – 4
  2. Chilli Powder – ½ Tbsp.
  3. Black Salt – ½ Tsp.
  4. Lemon Juice – ½ Tbsp.
  5. Salt to Taste
  6. Water – 2 Cups


For Pudina (Mint) Water

  1. Fresh Mint Leaves – ½ Cup
  2. Green Chilli – 2 or according to your taste
  3. Black Salt – 1 Tsp.
  4. Chaat Masala – 1 Tsp.
  5. Lemon Juice – 1 Tbsp.
  6. Salt to Taste
  7. Water – 2 Cups


Instructions –

Hing Water

  1. Take hing, salt, black salt, jeera powder in a small bowl and add in lemon juice and prepare a paste.
  2. Take 2 cups of water in big bowl and add prepared paste in it and mix properly.


Garlic Water

  1. Add garlic, red chilli powder, salt, black salt and lemon juice in a grinder and with the help of 2-3 Tbsp. of water grinds it.
  2. Take 2 cups of water in big bowl and add prepared paste in it and mix properly.


Mint Water

  1. Take mint leaves, chopped green chillies, salt, black salt, chaat masala and lemon juice in a grinder and with the help of 3 tbsp. of water grinds it.
  2. Take 2 cups of water in big bowl and add prepared paste in it and mix properly.


Notes –

  1. If you want chilled water then just keep these prepared waters in freeze for 30 minutes.

Sev Puri | Sev Batata Puri | Chaat Recipe | Recipe No. 71

Sev Puri is an Indian Snack and a type of Chaat. It is a Street Food originated from Mumbai, Maharashtra but now it is popular in all over India. It consists of puris made of all-purpose flour, mashed potatoes topping and different varieties of chutney. Recipe of chutneys is already there on my blog

  1. Red Chilli Chutney
  2. Tamarind Chutney
  3. Mint and Coriander Chutney

Puris used in this recipe will give nice crunch to the chaat. In vegetables I have used potatoes and onions. You can also use tomatoes, cucumber and raw mango. Chutneys used will give sweet, tangy and spicy flavor to the chaat. You can garnish it with pomegranate seeds or beetroot julienne.

It is one of my favorite chaat. At my home we have stored store-bought papadis and nylon sev in refrigerator and whenever we want to eat we use to make it.

Ingredients –

  1. Boiled and Mashed Potatoes (Not completely mashed) – 2 Cups
  2. Red Chilli Powder – 1 Tsp.
  3. Salt to Taste
  4. Puri (All Purpose Flour Puri)
  5. Red Chilli Chutney
  6. Tamarind Chutney
  7. Mint and Coriander Chutney
  8. Finely Chopped Onions
  9. Nylon Sev


Method –

  1. Take boiled and mashed potatoes in a mixing bowl and add salt and red chilli powder and mix.
  2. Take serving plate and place 8-10 puris on it.
  3. Place ½ Tbsp. of potato masala on each puri.
  4. Top each puri with red chilli chutney, mint and coriander chutney and tamarind chutney.
  5. Now top puris with finely chopped onions
  6. Now sprinkle nylon sev on puris (use nylon sev generously)
  7. Sev Puri is ready to serve.


बनाने का तरीका
१. एक बर्तन में उबले और मसले हुए आलू ले और उसमे नमक और लाल मिर्ची डालें।
२. एक प्लेट में ८-१० पूरी रखे।
३. उन पूरी पर १/२ चमच्च आलू का मसाला रखे।
४. उस पर लाल मिर्ची की चटनी, इमली की चटनी और धनिया और पुदीने की चटनी डालें।
५. उन पर बारीक़ कटा हुआ प्याज डालें।
६. अंत मैं बारीक़ सेव डाल दे अच्छी मात्रा में और सेव पूरी परोसने के लिए तैयार हैं।
